Yummly is looking for a talent leader with empathy and sound judgement who will serve as an influential business partner to people leaders and advise the leadership team on cutting edge people programs that will directly impact the success of the company. The role will have a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of "all things people related" including our culture, talent acquisition, and talent development during this critical period of growth. This role reports to the COO.
What you will do:
* Build strong relationships across the organization: The Head of People will rely upon their broad interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with employees from a wide range of disciplines, backgrounds, and levels within the company. Strong problem solving skills and the ability to diffuse conflicts when necessary are essential.
* Build people programs for scale: Design, develop, and execute people programs to drive talent acquisition, total rewards, performance management & development, employee engagement & retention, learning & development, and culture to support the employee lifecycle.
* Steer and champion our company culture and values: Our culture is how we work collaboratively as a team to serve our users and continue to grow. The Head of People will work to incorporate our values into people programs, processes, and practices. Collaborate with colleagues on culture-related initiatives including diversity, equity and inclusion and align them to the company's business strategy.
* Lead and inspire the People Team: Our talent team is passionate about making Yummly the best place to work and thrive. Drawing upon previous experience driving talent acquisition, they will refine and build upon the existing processes to support the company's hiring plans with a strong emphasis on the candidate experience. Additionally, work closely with our seasoned Senior HR Manager to design and implement culturally appropriate programs and processes for training people leaders and supporting the career development of our amazing team.
* Liaise with our parent company: Whirlpool provides guidance and support. The People Head brings strong communication skills and uses good judgement to best utilize their support.
What you will bring:
* 8 + years of experience in people operations, HR, talent management, talent acquisition, or related function
* 3+ years of people leadership experience, building and managing talent team of high-performing, passionate professionals in a high-growth, start-up environment
* Strong program, project, and process management skills
* Sound judgment and strong empathy skills
* Knowledge of the latest HR and recruitment technologies
* Experience working with an executive team
