Job description

ChemoCentryx is searching for a Talent Acquisition Associate that will the primary contact for our candidates throughout the entire recruiting lifecycle. This role will collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers to support the Company's hiring efforts as we grow our organization with a focus on providing an exceptional candidate experience. The Associate reports to the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition and work out of our brand new state-of-the-art corporate center in San Carlos, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Represent the Company culture through a positive and engaging hiring and onboarding process
* Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) support person for our full-cycle recruiting process
* Partner with the Talent Acquisition (TA) team to accomplish our goal to rapidly scale over the coming months
* Own every aspect of the interview scheduling process and communicate all logistics to candidates and interview teams
* Ensures timely and professional communication with prospective employees and hiring managers
* Manage and coordinate all candidate travel and reimbursements
* Create requisitions and post open jobs on appropriate internal and external sources
* Prepare offer letters, manage the pre-offer and pre-employment checks
* Ability to become a SME in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) Greenhouse
* Track proper data within the ATS system to ensure we understand the effectiveness of our recruitment efforts
* Partner with the TA team to shape how we leverage good operations principles to attract, onboard and retain the best talent
* Be a brand ambassador for the Company, both in person and online
* Occasionally create and/ or relevant content with our Marketing Team that attracts the attention of talent through our social media channels
* Acquire top talent for the Company by delivering an effortless experience for our candidates

Requirements

* 2+ years of experience in rapid-growth recruiting / recruiting coordination
* 2+ years of experience with ATS management
* Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to handle discussions with tact and diplomacy
* Advanced knowledge of managing logistics: scheduling phone screens, Zoom video conferencing, onsite interviews and travel coordination as needed
* Experience with utilizing social media and an interest in its power to create a vibrant employer brand

Preferred Experience

* Industry experience in biopharma/ pharmaceutical / life science
* Experience with the latest Talent Acquisition & People Operations tools and technologies (i.e., Greenhouse, BambooHR)
* Self-motivated, intellectually curious and able to adjust quickly to changing priorities
* Experience with research / sourcing tools such as LinkedIn and other social media, Greenhouse, BambooHR, Zoom, DocuSign and Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat
* Impeccable business judgment with an instinctive sense of prioritization
* Advanced communication (written / verbal), time management and organizational skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize
* Creative and resourceful with the knack for building and streamlining processes
