**Job Title: Accounts Receivable Representative**
We are looking for an experienced, meticulous, energetic, and personable accounting professional to join our team! This position will report directly to the Controller and will play a significant role in our rapidly growing organization.
This role supports the new Rapid Diagnostics Solutions (RDS) business unit in San Diego, California, part of the group of diagnostics businesses at Thermo Fisher Scientific. We are focused on increasing access to affordable innovations in diagnostic testing and enabling data-driven decisions. **How will you make an impact?**
The Accounts Receivable Associate will be responsible for handling daily accounting requirements related to the Accounts Receivable function, including the timely and accurate entry of all invoices and customer information and timely collection of all customer payments, assisting in discrepancy resolution, as well as assisting in many project-based tasks.
**What will you do?**
This role contributes to the health and success of the organization by performing timely and accurate customer invoice entry and collection to ensure prompt cash collection and the timely recording of revenue. Additionally, you will be interacting with all departments to better understand needs thereby bolstering their ability to perform the following:
• Processes invoices for sales orders ensuring accurate terms and invoice details.
• Records customer payments via wire, ach, check, or credit card transactions.
• Verifies and enter transactions from lock box and local deposits.
• Updates management on aging receivables and collection activity on a regular basis.
• Maintains records of all transactions in NetSuite
• Researches and clears account discrepancies
• Resolves collections issues though coordination with customer and internal resources.
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
**How will you get here?**
**Education**
• HS Diploma/GED required or 2 year college degree (preferred)
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**
• Minimum of 1+ years related experience
• High proficiency Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat; additional experience with NetSuite preferred.
• Numbers oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Articulate, organized and a team player with excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Comfortable with interaction with external vendors.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to maintain professionalism in fast moving environment.
