**Animal Care Technician (San Diego, CA)**

Temp to Hire Opportunity!

Work Schedule: 6 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday

**Pay** : $25/hour (possible higher pay, depending on experience)

Kelly Science and Clinical is seeking an Animal Technician to join a reputable biotech company's research team providing support and caring for animals. It is a great opportunity to utilize your skills and grow with your career.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Maintains and monitors the health and physical environment of animals involving complex instructions and requiring technical expertise.

+ Assists veterinary staff in the documentation and triage of all laboratory animal health cases, and in administering treatment to animals.

+ May also perform anesthesia, surgery, enrichment and behavioral tasks and technical in-life procedures.

+ May also support IACUC/Ethics Committee including animal welfare regulatory compliance and related government/external funding agency requirements

**Requirements:**

+ Must have previous related experience performing IP, PO, and IV dosing methods and bleeding experience.

+ Tissue collection is a plus.
