Job description
Kelly Outsourcing & Consulting Group (KellyOCG), a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking an **Associate Scientist I/II** for a long-term engagement at one of our Global clients in San Diego, CA
This role is a full-time, fully benefitted position. As a KellyOCG employee you will be eligible for Medical, Dental, 401K and a variety of other benefits to choose from. **Duties and Responsibilities:**
Conduct developability assessment to support small molecule discovery efforts (solubility, stability, solid state characterization and other related studies)
Perform analytical testing using (but not necessarily limited to): pH meter, HPLC, DSC, TGA, PXRD, PSD, UV/VIS spectrophotometer
Design and develop fit-for-purpose formulations (conventional and enabling) for pre-clinical studies
Responsible for ordering laboratory lab supplies
Prepare buffers, mobile phase for HPLC and vehicles for preclinical studies
**Qualifications**
MS degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline OR BS degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline with 1-3 years of relevant industry experience
Hands-on experience with HPLC, DSC, TGA and PXRD analysis
Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: physicochemical characterization of small molecules, solubility measurements, design, and manufacture of simple and enabling preclinical formulations.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills are required
