Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Center for Surface Combat Systems (CSCS) is seeking a Navy Instructor Trainer to join our dynamic and diverse team environment in multiple locations. Primary responsibility is to support formal Navy individual training environment including: Curriculum maintenance, Developing learning objectives, Preparing test items, Evaluating instructional materials and student results, Counseling students on academic learning issues. Counseling students on academic learning issues: Surface, Subsurface, Integrated air and missile defense, Strike, C4I Navigation and Shiphandling.

LCS Training Facility (LTF), Mayport, FL
We are seeking resumes for the following positions/skill sets:
Experience as an Instructor in a formal Navy individual training environment including:
Curriculum maintenance
Developing learning objectives
Preparing test items
Evaluating instructional materials and student results
Counseling students on academic learning issues
Relevant experience in the one of the fields is required:
Surface
Subsurface
Integrated air and missile defense
Strike
C4I
Navigation and Shiphandling
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and at least 6 years' experience
Eight (8) years of Combat Systems experience as a technician or tactical watchstander
Two (2) years of experience as an instructor in a Navy Training Environment, including curriculum maintenance, writing learning objectives, preparing test items; evaluating instructional materials, and counseling students on academic learning problems
One (1) year experience interfacing with training systems/simulations for effective and correct presentation of learning objectives
Navigation and Shiphandling Instructors will have USCG license or at least 2 years of documented at-sea experience to include USN, USGS, or private sailing and at least 2 years of previous experience and familiarity with waterjet-powered vessels. Note:Candidates with no previous waterjet experience will attend and successfully graduate from the LCS OOD course of instruction (CIN: A-4N-005)
Must be able to travel 10% of the time for short underway periods
Must be physically able to embark ship for 5-10 days
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant experience using training systems/simulations for effective presentation of learning objects
Past experience as trainer/instructor in support of CSCS is a significant plus
Experience with the applicable system or process as either a Work Center Supervisor or Senior Warfare Watchstander
Presentation and Public speaking skills
Salary Range: 65700 - 103700
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
