Job description

UST Global® team is looking for passionate Engineering Technician who is a team player and can work with minimum support and who can work flexible hours. Successful candidate must be familiar with RF and complex digital circuits with indepth knowledge of test equipments.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of the Engineering Technician Senior, Operations include but not limited to:

  • Performing chipset evaluation based upon engineering specifications within Operations standard operating procedures
  • Working in a matrix team structure
  • Following written and verbal instructions
  • Communicating information through tools such as MS Teams, Outlook, Slack, or Discord.
  • Update accurate data on software applications like Tableau, Salesforce, Workday, and Microsoft 365 Enterprise
  • Setting up bench/testers, performing RF/digital measurements and processing data
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical circuits as well as mechanical equipment relating to the testing of chipsets
  • Maintaining lab cleanliness to 5S standards
  • Supporting Engineers remotely
  • Peripheral docking and setups
  • Performing Kit changes for Handler setups and recipe creation for Prober testing
  • Make short term decision for shift and area in the absence of lead or management
  • Working closely with leadership and area experts in understanding priority
  • Creation and reviews of Ops SOP
  • Training and attending other Engineering Technicians on new technology and process
  • Perform diagnostics and quarterly PMs on Probers
  • Perform quarterly lubrication/ ionizer PMs on handlers

Skills and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be able to sit or stand for 8+ hours per day
  • Ability to use hands and fingers (manual dexterity)
  • Possess good eyesight, both near and far
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
  • Familiar with lab equipment (o-scope, power meter, vector network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generator)
  • Good self-driven organizational skills
  • Basic soldering skills
  • Ability to use Excel to track status of equipment/stocks
  • Ability to lead a small team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean manufacturing certification
  • Programing knowledge
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5 years' experience in a leadership role
  • Ability to perform low level troubleshooting of hardware and complete basic work order requests

Education Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in STEM field, or CET certificate
