Our location in San Diego, CA currently has an opportunity for a Financial Analyst. This position will assist with the LBE/Plan process, perform variance analysis and reporting activities. Ensure timeliness, accuracy and integrity of all finance-related information.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Responsible for financial planning, reporting and analysis
Prepare, consolidate and analyze information to support deliverables during LBE/Plan cycles
Provide month end analysis and commentary on a timely and accurate basis
Analyze actual operating results compared to LBE/Plan and quantifies variance and their impact
Conduct regular financial reviews with department managers to communicate financial performance and provide valuable insight to help business achieve financial goals
Assist in identification and implementation of process improvements
Gathers and publishes financial information related to historical, current and future performance
Prepare and distribute financial reports and packages by gathering and analyzing information related to current performance
Provide ad hoc analysis to support key projects or other related activity as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Minimum Education
Associate Degree with focus in Finance or Accounting or HS Diploma and two years of similar experience.
Minimum Experience/Training Required
Minimum 4 years in Accounting or Finance experience in a similar role.
Strong analytical, problem solving, variance analysis skills, accuracy and attention to detail
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance/Accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, primarily Microsoft Excel (e.g. Pivot table, common Excel functionalities)
Effective communication, soft skills and prioritization of assignments
Experience with Hyperion SmartView/and Power BI
