Job description

THOR Solutions is actively seeking a General Clerk I to support a contract at Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC) in San Diego, CA . The clerk will provide general administrative support services for NIWC PAC Enterprise Communications and Networks Division. This effort provides administrative services to the Enterprise Communications and Networks division, and to its multiple functional technical codes to ensure continuity of services throughout the division.

The candidate's responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) performing or supporting the following actions:

  • Responding to telephone calls and routing these queries/messages for action.
  • Maintaining specified websites.
  • Operating office equipment.
  • Monitoring office supplies to provide input for purchases.
  • Processing and distributing awards and maintaining their respective databases.
  • Taking meeting notes and distributing notes to the applicable personnel.
  • Creating documents and ensuring documentation and files are current and up to date.
  • Supporting teams with special projects.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess an active or interim SECRET security clearance, and maintain it for the duration of employment.

Required Education, Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • A high school diploma/GED equivalent.
    • An Associate's degree or above is preferred.
  • At least two (2) years' experience providing general administrative support to various corporate departments. Experience gained in U.S. Navy/DoD environments is highly preferred. Experience should include:
    • Responding to telephone calls and routing these queries/messages for action.
    • Maintaining specified websites.
    • Operating office equipment and monitoring office supplies to provide input for purchases.
    • Processing and distributing awards and maintaining their respective databases.
    • Taking meeting notes and distributing notes to the proper personnel.
    • Creating and ensuring various documentation and files are current and up to date.
    • Supporting teams with special projects.
  • Basic proficiency with common productivity software including Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • This position's essential functions typically include (but are not limited to): fingering/typing, hearing, repetitive motion, sitting, and talking.
