The ResMed Digital Health Technology team powers digital experiences and engagement to enhance the lives of millions of people every day through connected care. This role is in support of Customer Experience business units, inclusive of Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing. The Lead Business Analyst will be embedded with a dynamic, fast-paced team in IT responsible for creating and supporting complex cloud/on-prem solutions using technologies such as Salesforce CRM, AWS, Oracle ERP, Marketo, RingCentral, Tableau, Snowflake, and more. The team supports key business capabilities for ResMed including sales enablement, customer success, and marketing using these integrated systems. The candidate must demonstrate progressive leadership in business analysis and software development and possess strong knowledge of the software development life cycle.

The candidate will partner with business leaders to align IT initiatives with business strategy and provide business process and technical expertise to IT staff for the implementation, testing, and deployment of enhancements, solutions, projects, and maintenance for supported systems. The candidate will work with business stakeholders across sales, customer service, and marketing to analyze current state needs and challenges, identify improvement and automation opportunities, develop a backlog of user requirements, provide functional and non-functional expertise in identifying, evaluating and implementing process and procedures to help solve complex business problems. This candidate is a role model for other business analysts. Prior experience as a Product Owner as well as working on agile teams is highly desirable.

Let's talk about responsibilities

* Lead meetings with business stakeholders, project sponsors, and program team to identify and document business needs, stakeholder requirements, functional, non-functional and transitional requirements
* Identify and establish the scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics.
* Facilitate confirmation of requirements and designs with business and technical team
* Conduct user research, draft user stories and meet with product owners to validate, enhance, and prioritize them
* Facilitate backlog refinement, roadmap planning and prioritization sessions with product sponsors, stakeholders, and technical staff
* Evaluate different solution approaches and recommend solutions that provides business value
* Provide expertise in process modeling, data mapping, user stories and use Cases
* Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness of existing requirements gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or furthering these processes
* Improve artifacts, tools, and processes for documenting and memorializing requirements
* Mentor, coach, and/or manage more junior Analysts on the team
* Participate in and/or lead Center of Excellence for BA's/PO's
* Maintain ongoing communication with business users and stakeholders to manage expectations regarding changes to the system and new functionality
* Conduct weekly meetings to provide status updates and determine priorities
* Collaborate deeply with Product owners, Stakeholders, Business Analysts, Developers, Test engineers, and cross-functional teams to lead end to end delivery
* Assist with cocreating test plans and acceptance criteria, and executing test cases for QA and UAT sign-off
* Work closely with development team for cocreating solution design, technical integrations to help drive decisions and solutions and reduce technical debt
* Proactively contribute to the quality of the product by seeking and proposing new or alternate approaches to address the requirements
* Participate in and/or lead sprint planning, sprint reviews, scrum meetings and other agile activities
* Improve and expand knowledge and skills sets with regards to current trends and changes in business and technical domains and stay up to date with design trends
* Troubleshoot and provide technical resolutions throughout product life cycle

Let's talk qualifications and experience:

* Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree a plus
* At least 10 years proven track record as a business analyst with solid experience in business analysis planning, requirements and user story elicitation, specifying and modelling requirements, requirement life cycle management, strategy analysis, solution and design, and acceptance criteria
* Excellent interpersonal verbal, oral, and written communication a must
* Attention to detail, quick learner, positive attitude, self-motivated, ability to multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills a must
* Proven ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage multiple deliverables with changing priorities
* Proficiency with various tools including but not limited to MS Office, MS Visio, Confluence, Jira
* Strong understanding and experience working within an Agile software development process
* Understanding and wide application of methodology and subject matter related concepts, practices, standards and procedures with a general knowledge of other related business disciplines
* Prior experience working on customer-facing or customer experience projects highly desirable
* Prior experience with CRM and ERP systems and databases, and custom interface development highly desirable
* Desire and ability to conduct data and process analysis using a variety of query tools including SQL highly desirable
* Prior experience designing, developing, or modifying business-facing reports highly desirable
* Experience with different prioritization models for ROI highly desirable
* Prior management experience or other experience leading a team highly desirable
