Fate Therapeutics is currently seeking a motivated materials resource planning specialist to support Manufacturing and Supply Chain material planning at Fates manufacturing facility. The successful candidate has in-depth working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, manufacturing, planning, and material management requirements. The Candidate is tasked to maintain data integrity of the MRP/ERP system, planning and ensuring inventory of kits and raw materials for timely initiation and continuity of the manufacturing activities. Candidate is an effective communicator able to distinguish priorities in a highly demanding environment. This is a full- time position reporting to Senior Manager, Supply Chain and is located at our corporate headquarters in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate implementation of the electronic Warehouse Management System (WMS) and MRP/ERP system
  • Collect, analyze, and maintain the data to support WMS and MRP
  • Develop standard operating procedures and work instructions for the WMS and MRP systems
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and train cross functional teams on usage and be first line of contact to effectively resolve system related issues in a timely manner
  • Plan, schedule, and manage raw materials replenishment for manufacturing and other key support functions
  • Generate and maintain accuracy of bill of materials supported by Supply Chain
  • Generate MRP to support the production schedule
  • Identify and efficiently resolve bill of materials discrepancies and communicate order adjustments and priorities with vendors in a timely manner
  • Perform analysis of material usage to develop and drive improvements for supplier KPIs
  • Support and ensure timely disposition of raw material and drug substance for production runs
  • Establish relationships with internal and external collaborators to ensure effortless flow of raw material replenishment and inventory

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree with a minimum of 3 years related experience in a regulated life science, pharma and/or biotechnology industry with working knowledge of WMS/MRP/ERP systems
  • Experience with ISO and/or cGMP regulatory guidelines
  • Working experience with diverse ERP/MRP systems
  • Able to multitask and work at a fast-pace environment
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and a collaborative team player
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to quickly and easily learn new applications

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • 100% on-site work at corporate headquarters in San Diego, CA
