The Wood Resilient Environments West US Group is currently seeking a Project Accounting Supervisor to join our team. The qualified candidate will manage a team of 4+ project accountants to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of client invoices, proper accounting, and support team improvement initiatives. They will also act as a key liaison between accounting and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

SET PRIORITES

Provide direction, priorities, and performance targets for your team

Develop, coach and train project accounting staff

OVERSEE DAY-TO-DAY ACTIVITIES

Work closely with your project accountants to coordinate billing and manage workloads

Coordinate month end revenue recognition, WIP review, and flash estimates

Ensure quality and efficiency by establishing and enforcing consistent controls and procedures

Ensure record retention guidelines are followed

IMPROVE PROCESSES

Support team continuous improvement efforts for processes, procedures, and/or systems

Lead the development and implementation of new initiatives to improve invoicing processes

BUILD TEAM CAPACITY

Develop the team by initiating stretch assignments, training, and cross-functional opportunities

SUPPORT CLIENTS

Provide internal assistance to operational and financial management, as needed

DEMONSTRATE TECHNICAL EXCELLENCE

Serve as a technical system and billing reference

MANAGE RELATIONSHIPS

Actively represent the EIA West US accounting function

Act as the primary liaison with regional project managers

Skills / Qualifications:
3 + years of experience in project accounting / billing roles, desired

1 + years of managerial experience, desired

Experience in the engineering, consultancy, or construction industry preferred

Degree in accounting, business or finance is preferred

Proficiency in MS Office Suite

Experience working with BST or Oracle ERP software is desirable

Strong leadership, management, financial analysis, and communication skills

Willingness to learn and strong desire to develop others

Goal and team oriented

Must pass drug screen and background check
