Job description

Under general supervision, the Warehouse Shipping & Receiving's Clerk is responsible for performing tasks involved in the receiving, storage and shipment of materials, supplies and equipment. Prepares records of goods shipped, posts weight and shipping charges and maintains shipping files. May prepare goods for final shipment and perform other warehousing duties.

General Responsibilities

My job is being satisfactorily performed when the following conditions exist:

Key Result Area 1: Shipping

1. Stages products for reviewing in the shipping area (Outgoing shipments have identifying information such as internal part numbers and are verified against pick tickets, order edits, or other records).
2. Items are properly packed using appropriate packaging materials and containers.
3. Shipping labels are affixed on packed cartons or other methods are used to identify shipping information on cartons.
4. Weights and shipping charges are posted, and postage affixed.
5. Ensures shipments meet specifications and are shipped at the most cost effective method.
6. International shipments have correct documents as mandated by each country. Freight forwarder and customs documents are correctly filed out, posted and sent to correct people.
7. Palletizes shipments with bill of lading as necessary.
8. Supply tracking numbers to appropriate people as needed.

Key Result Area 2: Daily Processes

1. 1. Items listed on a Sales Orders have been double checked for accuracy. Confirm ship the picking tickets in Macola and distribute completed sales order picking tickets to appropriate departments at end of business day.
   2. Receipt of RMA's as needed daily. Route to repair or appropriate department.
   3. Communication to appropriate departments of shipping status.
   4. Shipping cost supplied when requested. Maintain log of product weights and measurements.
   5. Maintain shipping processes for individual customers. Update as need for easy of training.

Key Result Area 3: Stockroom

1. Stock product and shipping supplies in proper stocking location.
2. Maintain cycle count integrity as outlined. Inventory at 99% or better.
3. Notify Supervisor of discrepancies in stockroom immediately.
4. Security of Stockroom maintained no product released without proper documents
5. Maintain cleanliness/order in shipping and stockroom on an ongoing basis.
6. Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.

Key Results Area 4: 5S, Quality & Safety

1. Review quality of all work prior to release of information or commitments
2. Practice and maintain 5S Principles (Sort, Stabilize, Shine, Standardize and Sustain).
3. Practice safety in the workplace and inform management of unsafe conditions rendering corrective action.
