K2 Financial Partners, a financial planning and investment advisory firm based in San Dimas, CA, is seeking a skilled Service Advisor.


This position requires excellent customer service and problem-solving skills to confidently provide service to an existing book of clients in a timely, efficient and professional manner. Candidate must be extremely organized, detail-oriented and a self-starter.


The Service Advisor position supports an existing book of clients in all aspects of the client experience. The Service Advisor is expected to be client-focused, highly dependable, analytical and a team player. He or she must be able to operate autonomously and be comfortable working in a small office setting, which often requires the individual to adapt to new responsibilities as the firm continues to grow and evolve.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Service Advisor responsibilities are broad and include financial plan preparation and delivery, investment analysis and recommendations, wealth management analysis and recommendations and other services delivered to the firm
  • Manage & retain existing client relationships by preparing for client and prospect meetings on an ongoing basis. Gather and prepare for use all necessary presentation and sales materials, compile meeting notes, performance reports and account applications
  • Grow existing client relationships by identifying new opportunities
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service contact/client facing experience
  • Perform general administrative duties including, but not limited to, answering phones, filing, processing mail, scheduling meetings, generating and processing client paperwork, and other responsibilities that support the company
  • Maintain information in the company CRM database, including, but not limited to, entering new clients/contacts, creating groups and/or running reports and creating workflow efficiencies
  • Onboard new clients including the set-up of accounts, recurring money movements, online access, and the scheduling of the ongoing account review cycle
  • Proactively work to ensure all advisor client follow-up and associated tasks are completed; create workflow in CRM system to track all outstanding follow-up tasks to be reviewed regularly
  • Participate in Advisor/Sales Meetings

Skills Needed / Desired:

  • Proven ability to meet deadlines as well as effectively identify and solve problems
  • Strong time management, organizational skills; able to effectively prioritize/multi-task
  • Ability to work independently as well as cohesively with advisors and team members
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and have a client-focused, helpful attitude


Requirements:

  • 2-5 years minimum in the financial services industry
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Must have basic securities licensure to be hired. Series 6/63/65 or Series 7/66 & Insurance license. CFP® designation would be preferred. Scope of role is a continuous accumulation of knowledge, comfortability with clients and business development/discovery of new opportunities
  • Proven strong client service skills
  • Must have strong communication, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently to research and resolve client issues
  • Problem solving skills to determine the most efficient method of problem resolution while complying with corporate and regulatory procedures
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team
  • Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel required
  • eMoney experience preferred


Job Types: Full-time, Contract

  • Pay: Salary of $36,000-$75,000/year depending on experience with variable comp based on book serviced and opportunities generated.
