Job description

Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop tests, tools and frameworks to enable reduction of manual testing
2. Responsible for test creation, testing a large module or a large component
3. Design and develop UI, integration, regression, performance, and other testing
4. Work closely with development team to build a world class test framework
5. Comfortable and adaptable in a fast-paced environment with a go getter attitude
6. Manually execute testing if required
7. Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

1. 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering
2. 1+ year hands-on experience in Kotlin/Java in Android testing or development
3. 1+ year hands-on experience using espresso framework
4. Experience developing frameworks from scratch using industry standard tools
5. Scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc)Demonstrates clarity of thinking and design end to end test scenarios to work through limited information and vague problem definitions
6. Lead software quality engineering discussions in a detailed manner Execute Manual tests when/if needed
7. Strong verbal and written communication

Preferred Qualifications:

1. 3+ years of experience in test automation of mobile applications on iOS/Android
2. 3+ years of experience in using tools like version control, CI/CD , tickets and tests management system, and mobile testing lab
3. Excellent understanding of Page Object Models
4. Expert in breaking down problems and identify scenarios to provide end to end test coverage
5. Able to work under minimal supervision and quick to adopt new technologies
6. Proactively identifies and removes project obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team
7. Shares knowledge, and credit, establishing trust, credibility, and goodwill
8. P&C Insurance domain knowledge
