Responsibilities:Overall responsibility for the Company's tax strategy, Direct and Indirect Tax compliance and adherence to statutory requirments re. same. Responsible for the company's tax planning. Provide input for the company accounting for Income taxes for financial reporting purposes. Overall responsibility for department personnel, hiring, training, and retention. Overall responsibility for relationship with Third Party tax consultants and providers. Overall responsibility for Tax Dept's support of other departments including Legal, Finance, Operations, Treasury, Accounting and Executive Management. Overall responsibility for Tax Reporting to Private company Investor group. Responsible for analyzing tax impact of investment activities, dispositions and other transaction related work.
Accountabilities:
- Final review and approval of the companies domestic and international Direct and Indirect Tax filings and tax payments to comply with statutory filing and reporting requirements
- Final technical review and sign off of the company's Tax Accounting for financial reporting puposes
- Determination of company's tax positions for routine and ad hoc company transactions including research and third party service provider co-ordination .
- Ensure Departments adherence to company's SOX requirments
- Manage the overall relationship, fees, and engagment of Third Party tax service providers to ensure cost effective and timely delivery of tax reporting .
- Overall Management of department personnel and hiring to ensure distribution of workflow, welfare of staff and mitigate the cost of tunover.
- Co-odination and support for essenially every internal Pattern department to meet their tax specific needs in support of their own duties including support of M&A as required
- Reposible for Investor Tax Reporting to met upstream owner relationship requirements
- Responsible for the company's tax planning and strategy, including evaluating acquisition and dispositions of asset or companies.
Qualifications and education required:
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related
- Master's Degree in Taxation
- 20 years' experience in mutli-faceted areas of taxation including US Corporate, Subchapter K (Passthough), International, State and local taxes
- At least 10 years in a Big 4/National tax firm learning environment tracking appropriately with increasing client and personnel management responsibilities.
- Prior industry/client experience in renewables sector preferred.
