BlackRock is seeking an Model Specialist/ Investment Management Associate/Internal Wholesaler to become part of our US Wealth Advisory team.

Our USWA team establishes relationships with wealth management firms and platforms to distribute BlackRock's alpha-seeking and iShares investment capabilities, and drives the adoption of BlackRock's portfolio construction and digital wealth technologies by financial advisors. The team has roughly 200 colleagues between Boston, Princeton, and San Francisco, with around 130 market leaders or external wholesalers and are at the forefront of reinventing the industry. Primary Responsibilities:

The Model Specialist independently executes on delivering BlackRock Models sales within a defined territory. They will maintain a high level of client connectivity, partner with centers of influence to create scale in advisor outreach, and utilize BlackRock proprietary tech resources to drive advisor engagement. The Model Specialist will engage their clients' whole portfolio and represent the most comprehensive investment offering in the industry.

• Proactively position and differentiate BlackRock Model Portfolios and our investment products against competitor firms and products to Financial Advisors independently in their market
• Own full sale cycle:
  • Build an efficient and thoughtful strategy to maximize engagement and influence
  • Expand existing client base by uncovering investment needs and presenting solutions
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities by client profiling, lead identification, and follow-up activity
  • Exhibit high-level market knowledge and ability to converse with financial advisors on investment solutions and current economic and market conditions
• Partner with Centers of Influence (COIs) to create scale in advisor outreach through WebEx and In Person group meetings
• Liaise with BLK partners (product teams, Portfolio Solutions, Advisor Insights, etc.)
• Utilize Advisor Center to drive advisors into the BLK ecosystem
• Potential stretch projects across various USWA teams
• Act as mentor and resource for Leverage Sales team
• Share best practices across markets to create opportunities to streamline campaigns/initiatives

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required
• 2+ years of experience in mutual fund or brokerage industry required
• Series 7 and 66 (63 & 65 in lieu) required or must be obtained within licensing time frame after hire
• Knowledge of investment trends and advisor practices
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Proven MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with web-based technology
• Clean U-4
