Job description

My client is looking for a motivated recent graduate or an Associate with 1/2 years experience to join their Foster City-based team as a Business Development Associate.


The Business Development Associate plays a critical role in supporting the New Business Desk in sourcing new business, liquidity events, qualified leads and more while presenting this information to the teams.


This role is essential to organizing the data on the ever- changing market and ensuring the teams are fully up to speed on all relevant opportunities. The Business Development Associate will have the opportunity to work closely with, and learn from, the team and Senior Leadership. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

  • Deep dive into daily deals across the United States to gather intelligence on deals >$1b and to generate potential prospects for Executives to pursue
  • Identify trending companies and potential UHNW individuals associated with those companies for the Partners and CEOs to pursue
  • Develop analytics to identify future high-value opportunities through research
  • Support Business Development efforts of the Partners and support them in various ad hoc processes
  • Analyze all aspects of the Business Development effort (including large data sets in Salesforce) to determine which avenue generates the most success
  • Manage all inbound inquiries from our website
  • Support practice management in all aspects of the sales cycle, including scheduling follow-up meetings, managing administrative elements, and overseeing the pipeline of completed meetings to ensure all prospective clients are being contacted throughout the year.


Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Candidate must thrive in and be able to keep up with an ever-changing, fast paced environment
  • Must be able to think critically, effectively, anticipate needs and issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience owning projects & initiatives while delegating responsibilities as needed is a plus
  • Must have high attention to detail in all aspects of the role, work quickly and accurately
  • Must be self-directed and able to work with individuals at all levels, including executive management
