The Digital Technology and Innovation (DTI) group supports the Corporate Strategy, Digital Platform & Innovation Business. Together they work closely to continue evolving Wells Fargo's digital platforms and enhance integration of the innovation pipeline into our customer-facing capabilities.

Digital Technology and Innovation Office of the CIO (OCIO) is responsible for Technology Business Management, Executive Reporting & Analysis, Organizational Change Management, Portfolio Delivery & Governance, Resource & Workforce Management, Strategy Enablement & Portfolio Management, Technology Risk Execution, Agile Transformation & Analytics, Third Party Contract Services and Chief of Staff Support. Our mission is to support DTI by providing program-level leadership, oversight and execution across a broad range of functions to ensure the organization is operating efficiently, with the appropriate skills and staffing levels, and in compliance with corporate policies and procedures.

This Tech Bus Services Princ Associate will serve as the Chief of Staff for Commercial Banking Digital (CBD) reporting to the head of the DTI Office of the CIO, with dotted line reporting to the head of CBD. In this role, you will have a keen focus on driving outcomes in a thoughtful, data & insights driven manner with a strong focus on accuracy, automation and repeatability. This role requires superior relationship building skills with the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization. Key to the success of this position is the ability to influence across all organizational levels and develop partnerships within CBD and across DTI. Ability to connect the dots, translate meaningful actions and confidence to interact with a senior audience are paramount to success in this role.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Organizational strategic planning and development
  • Financial and Resource management: develop hiring plan in line with objectives, skill needs, and financial targets. Manage headcount and SOW tracking, location strategy, manager span of control, resource/travel request coordination (WARP), STAMP compliance, etc. Partner with Human Resources to monitor the recruiting pipeline, resolving internal issues delaying filling positions.
  • Communications: in conjunction with the central OCIO communications lead, draft organization announcements and other communications and coordinate distribution to the CBD, DTI and partner organizations. Prepare executive level presentations required for townhalls, business reviews, and other meetings as needed.
  • Program/Portfolio Analysis: Understand initiatives and expected outcomes for the CBD organization.

Selected candidate will be required to work within one of the following Wells Fargo locations: 333 Market St. San Francisco, CA; 1755 Grant St, Concord, CA; 2600 South Price Rd. Chandler, AZ. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.



Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of technology experience
  • 5+ years of strategic planning and development experience
  • 3+ years of leadership experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Experience managing large technology development efforts within a major line of business
  • Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to present complex material in a digestible, consumable manner to all levels of management
  • Good analytical skills including strategically analyzing data and diagnosing opportunities/interventions
  • Experience with capacity planning, forecasting, process improvement, and measurements
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, modeling and tracking
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
