Job description

Position Summary:

The position will be based in MF1's New York or Bay Area offices and will assist the closing team in funding and administering loans. Areas of responsibility will include funding/closing, loan operations, and third-party vendor oversight. The candidate will be responsible for tracking loans from application to closing, preparation of closing statements and finalization of funding documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate closing diligence matters including insurance reviews and tax analysis.

• Compile closing statements including reserve analysis, interest accruals and payment amortization schedules.

• Participate in loan boarding and disposition process, including coordination with securitization team.

• Coordinate closing activities with counsel.

• Assist with borrower requests and other loan administration functions.

• Participate in loan financing processes.

Basic Knowledge Expected:

• Familiarity with commercial real estate loan structures, documentation and third party reports.

• Familiarity with basic commercial real estate loan servicing and administrative functions.

• Understanding of fundamental underwriting metrics such as NOI, NCF, DSCR, LTV, occupancy and debt yield.

Requirements:

• 2 to 5 years of loan operations or asset management experience.

• Detail oriented with an ability to prioritize among numerous tasks.

• Experience in securitized lending preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

• Client-oriented focus.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Ability to work effectively in team setting and independently.

• Computer proficiency with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
