Job description

Company Mission:

Our mission is to provide the lowest cost, most convenient, and most transparent access to capital.

About the Company:

We have invented a new credit card powered by an advanced asset securing platform that enables us to offer much lower APRs to consumers. Our team is a combination of deep technology (Microsoft, Google, Facebook), and finance (Capital One, Goldman Sachs, Square, Carta) executives. Our Seed round was led by Max Levchin, our Series A by Founders Fund - with participation in both rounds by Sequoia, NYCA, and others.

Our work involves building the world's first completely autonomous asset-securing process, world-class risk models for underwriting, and an incredibly smooth & efficient product experience for consumers to apply, activate, and manage their credit cards. We're looking for a detail-oriented, driven, and problem-solving individual interested to work with intelligent, motivated, and intense people to improve and build new Aven products and services.

Traits we value:

  1. Depth and rigor of thought - we try to be rigorous in our thinking & dive into the details.
  2. Ability to engage fluently with all functions with a strong analytical orientation.
  3. Minimalist - we are spartan in our design, in our code, and even in our processes.
  4. Speed of execution - we move fast & value decisiveness. We think speed drives quality.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the credit card roadmap with key stakeholders including vendors, servicing and engineering teams:
  • Collect feedback from the servicing team to improve the card product and the servicing process.
  • Assess initial feasibility and architect new features with all stakeholders and create one-pagers summarizing the opportunity and the work required for the Aven team,
  • Prioritize objectives, workload with the engineering team, while driving the delivery of new features.
  • Work closely with the servicing team to manage customer service escalations.
  • Coordinate messaging to cardholders, working with the design, compliance and servicing team.
  • Manage relationships with our processor and payment partners, including contracts, product configurations.
  • Monitor 30-day delinquencies, fraud and payoffs, disputes, chargebacks, and charge-offs, jointly with the Credit and Collections teams.
  • Manage KYC and fraud prevention configuration.
  • Monitor daily settlement and reconciliations with the Finance team.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience with consumer-facing financial products, ideally in card and/or lending services
  • Superb communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency, speed and accuracy in written communication.
  • Detail Oriented - we're a financial services company so being correct about the details matter

Location: HQ - Burlingame, CA (San Francisco Bay Area). Remote work in Continental US or Canada.
