Department Overview

The Shared Services Business Operations team delivers a broad range of expertise and services to drive integrated, cross-organizational solutions for Shared Services. By providing strategic counsel and program governance, the team helps the organization balance operational strategy, risk, compliance, and continuous improvement. We aspire to build leading programs that enable Shared Services and PG&E to thrive in their operations.

Position Summary

Conducts data analysis, forecasting, and metric reporting in support of business decision making strategy and operations for Shared Services. Develops Power BI dashboards, reports, and tools for improved executive operating/performance reporting. Responsible for officer level reporting and deliverables. Participates in business process improvement, quality control, and other initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

The position will have a focus on a variety of cross-functional value-added services including: operational/performance reporting & metric development, in-depth data analysis/analytics, and project management for long-term strategic planning & strategic initiative execution.

Metrics and Reporting:

  • Responsible for preparing operational review and KPI material. Partner with key stakeholders in developing meaningful operating and compliance metrics
  • Collaborates with other business areas to investigate issues, makes recommendations, and develops action plans to contribute to company objectives


Tools, Systems, Processes:
  • Utilize Power BI, Excel, and existing systems to build out and create new dashboards, tools, and systems for enterprise and department level reporting
  • Improve reporting process for business unit clients and ensure quality change management


Data Analysis/Project Management:
  • Performs analysis on highly complex data models that have cross- functional impact
  • Perform trend analysis and data analytics on daily, weekly, and monthly operating and performance metrics
  • Proactively analyzes data and delivers insights to business customers leaders to deepen their understanding of key operational issues
  • Develops innovative data solutions to address complex business issues. Presents findings and proposed recommendations to leaders
  • Manages cross-functional projects or initiatives as assigned


Qualifications

Minimum:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Econometrics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Sciences, Statistics or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 6 years job-related experience


Desired:
  • Experience with Power BI dashboarding, reporting, and tool creation
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Power BI, PowerPoint)
  • Strong reporting background
  • Strong problem solving, project management, and change management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate complex data effectively
  • Ability to interface with numerous clients and drive process improvements
