What this job involves
Facilities Manager (West Region) is responsible for all aspects of facilities and experience focused services for a key account including soft services, amenity programming, customer experience training and operations. The Facilities Manager will oversee an integrated service offering for assigned offices that positively impacts how the workplace is experienced by our Client's employees and guests. This role will lead a regional service delivery team in the implementation of services to include, but not limited to, maintenance and repair services, office services, reception / guest services, on-site fitness, foodservices, meeting & event planning, mail, print production and other high touch employee services. This role is Client facing and must be able to exhibit exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Responsibilities
* Consult and collaborate with the Account Manager and Facility Management Regional FM/Workplace Experience Services Director on the Facility/Workplace Experience program for Client's offices and employees
* Oversee the operation, staffing, performance and development of the Facility/Workplace Experience service delivery staff in the assigned region
* Works with all levels of the Client organization and account team to ensure excellence in service delivery and high customer satisfaction
* Demonstrate leadership, responsiveness, and creativity
* Oversee the development and management of the operating expense budget, advise on the development of capital expense budget for assigned offices
* Support Facility Management Regional FM/Workplace Experience Services Director in the implementation of short and long-term projects for the client
* Develop and implement the annual management plan; accomplish key performance indicators as identified by client
* Oversee the appropriate monthly/quarterly/annual reporting for the Client
* Manage the implementation of new and the maintenance of existing contracts; ensure administration of contract documents and COIs; manage vendor performance of those contracts
* Maximize utilization of suppliers, preferred vendors/contractors and the level of spending with Minority/Women owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE)
* Ensure compliance with Client and company policies and minimum audit standards
* Develop monthly/quarterly variance reporting on all operating budgets for each property on a timely basis
* Develop and implement innovative programs, processes and procedures that reduce short- and long-term operating costs and increase productivity
* Coordinate discussions with each partner vendor/supplier regarding goal setting, performance criteria, and performance review
* Provide the lead role to monitor customer satisfaction and improve upon it
* Engage in a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by leveraging business intelligence, adopting and participating in the development of best practices, new tools, process re-engineering and other ideas that provide service delivery efficiencies
* Coordinate discussions with each direct report regarding goal setting, performance reviews, career development planning and incentive/salary administration
* Perform additional job duties, as requested

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Facilities Management or Hospitality Management; MBA desired
* Minimum of six years of relevant industry experience required
* Hospitality background a plus; Project management experience a plus
* Knowledge of real estate, facilities soft services, hospitality services.
* Strong leadership, organizational and management skills
* Experience in matrix management organizations desirable
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Computer proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) ability to learn PC and web-based applications
* Strong belief in customer service and professionalism; Strong sense of team.
* Self-motivated, self-starter. High energy individual that likes challenges and thrives in a fast-paced environment
