About the Role

Stitch Fix is looking for a Finance Business Systems Analyst to join our dynamic team and one of the fastest growing on-line retailers. Stitch Fix continues its growth trajectory with aggressive business expansion goals. We are seeking an experienced and motivated business systems analyst to help drive strategic projects that support these initiatives. In this cross-functional role, you will serve as the bridge between Finance, IT, Engineering and Business functions to solve complex problems and bring new and exciting technologies and automation to Stitch Fix. You will help transform Finance through driving process optimization and system enhancements to fully leverage the power of technology and enable Finance with data-driven analytics capabilities. You will support the Controllership, FP&A, Tax and Treasury teams.

While this role sits within the Finance organization, the projects are highly integrated across functions. You will have the unique opportunity to gain broad exposure to business operations, build collaborative partnerships across the organization and contribute to building new financial analytics capabilities that leverage Stitch Fix's rich data sets to help influence the direction and success of the business.

We are looking for a business analyst to support financial analytics and key business metrics along with data validations related to our Oracle, AWS (financial reporting), Essbase and Anaplan applications (ERP processes, monthly and quarterly close packages and management reporting, forecasting & analysis and rolling operational forecasting tools). This work is growing exponentially as we incorporate new sales channels, business models and strategic initiatives into our complex data models.

• Build collaborative partnerships with business users, gain a deep understanding of requirements and perspectives of our Finance and Merchandise Planning teams through qualitative and quantitative analysis
• Support strategic initiatives through analyzing complex business problems and bringing new innovative reporting and analytics solutions to Stitch Fix
• Gather business requirements, articulate business context and use cases, drive requirements alignment across Finance functions
• Drive alignment in data definitions across accounting, finance, and reporting applications to fully leverage technology and provide solutions that are as efficient as possible and scalable
• Develop solution designs in partnership with IT. Translate business requirements into technical designs, perform data validations, and serve as the bridge between Finance, IT, Engineering and 3 rd parties to influence decision-making
• Facilitate user acceptance testing and obtain user sign-off
• Drive transformation in reporting & analytics; lead training & change management initiatives; build systems knowledge and capability to ensure users are equipped to analyze data and key performance metrics; maintain a cross-application data dictionary for financial and statistical metrics across systems.
• Provide ongoing support through technical problem-solving, diagnosis and troubleshooting, and partnering cross-functionally to resolve data alignment inconsistencies
• Represent Finance as the data & systems SME in strategic initiatives; ensure data, systems and process impacts are appropriately considered; serve as the "voice" of our Finance customers

• You have a B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems (or related)
• You have 4-5 years supporting financial systems leveraging technology; Retail and eCommerce experience a plus
• You understand Finance and Accounting and are familiar with Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow concepts, monthly close and financial reporting processes
• You bring deep understanding of Financial Systems and analytical tools and thrive by bringing in new technologies to solve problems (ERP concepts, management reporting, integrations with custom applications, data warehousing & analytics)
• You collaborate well with cross-functional partners, you invest the time to build relationships and understand how the business works
• You have experience gathering requirements, building business requirement documents, translating business requirements into functional requirements and use cases, defining testing strategies, facilitating UAT and defects resolution
• You understand data reconciliations and data quality; you have the ability to quickly identify data inconsistencies across systems and build safeguards to prevent issues
• You possess professional maturity, business acumen, strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• You enjoy data analysis and rolling up your sleeves to solve complex problems. You have extremely strong technical and quantitative skills and experience in transforming data into actionable insights
• You have strong documentation, communication and business partnering skills, the ability to communicate well across all levels; you can translate technical concepts to business partners in terms they understand
• You understand planning, budgeting and forecasting processes; experience with planning systems such as Essbase and Anaplan is highly desired
• You are curious, solution-oriented, creative, have a process improvement mindset and continually look for ways to effectively solve problems and optimize processes
• You have an ability to drive work forward, think on your feet, follow-through and navigate in an ambiguous environment
