Job description
This is an extraordinary opportunity at a high growth Registered Investment Advisor for a growth minded leader with 7 to 9+ years of financial accounting experience. The ideal candidate will be coming from a public accounting firm, fund administrator, or another investment management Firm, as a fund accountant, controller or similar role. This is a unique role that will provide the opportunity to work in all aspects of fund and investment management.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent corporate financial strategy through a range of avenues such as managing and allocating accounts, financial statements, and tax data. The candidate will also be the point of contact for banks, auditors, and tax authorities.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of a BA; CPA, CFA and/or MBA preferred
Solid experience coordinating accounting activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and audit for investment firms
Technology savvy with experience selecting and overseeing software installations and managing relationships with software vendors; advanced knowledge of accounting and reporting software
Exposure to a broad range of Alternative Investment & Fund structures and product types
Big 4 background desired, but not required
SEC Compliance experience is a plus: Form ADV
Understanding of US GAAP

Responsibilities
- Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data
- Budget preparation and analysis
- Corporate filings, reporting and controls
- Execute and analyze of all corporate financials, accounting, controls and reporting activities
- Review & negotiate contracts with vendors
- Organize and maintain Manage day-to-day company accounts
- Assist with financial planning
- Oversee Budget forecasting and cash flow management
- Ensure government compliance in all tasks
- Review fund governing documents, in order to ensure proper application of fund terms
- Execute Partnership Documents
- Shadow Fund accounting to the fund administrator
- Monthly / Quarterly Fund ops (recon, settlement, expenses, etc)
- Fund reporting, filing, etc
- Assist with valuation analysis
