The role

As Galileo continues to accelerate our growth, we are looking for a creative leader with a passion for deal-making to spearhead our small but growing Strategic Partnerships team. Reporting to our Chief Revenue Officer, the Head of Strategic Partnerships will be responsible for creating and driving a partnership strategy that strengthens our value proposition, supports product / geographic / revenue expansion, and supports critical partnership needs from across the company. In this role, you'll be driving collaboration with internal and external business leaders, managing a small, high-performing team to create and execute innovative and wide-reaching partnership strategies and plans through meticulous cross-functional execution.

What You'll Do

  • Attract, recruit, train, coach, and retain top talent. Build an industry leading partnerships team.
  • Set strategy and vision for new areas of opportunity.
  • Evaluate potential partnership opportunities based on market dynamics, customer impact, expected impact, and strategic value
  • Identify, creatively structure, negotiate, and execute complex deals with a wide array of partners across industry verticals.
  • Work closely with sales, BD, marketing, product, engineering, and operations to identify impactful opportunities and drive partnerships to execution.
  • Develop and manage new channels of revenue for Galileo products.
  • Create a framework, strategy, and operating plan for Strategic Partnerships, tying partnerships to company-wide goals and KPIs
  • Manage critical partnerships across their lifecycle, supporting day to day partnerships requirements and collaboration. This includes with top banking and network partners, as well as a wide variety of ecosystem partners.
  • Understand complex partner organizations and markets; identify issues, goals, strategy, and areas of synergy to develop bespoke and mutually beneficial strategies
  • Establish strong relationships with external stakeholders at all levels of target partner organizations and look for ways to further deepen relationships over time
  • Understand the Galileo brand, industry, verticals, positioning and technology and use this knowledge to facilitate internal enablement across teams
What You'll Need
  • 10+ years of demonstrated success that resulted in user and revenue growth via partnerships.
  • 5+ years Management experience
  • Highly analytical, strategic thinker and data driven, but also a creative problem solver and innovator
  • Ownership and management of a revenue or metric driven goal and team.
  • Motivated, self-starter with the ability to effectively manage multiple deliverables.
  • Ability to make thoughtful, actionable recommendations under minimal structure, and quickly build consensus with senior level internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collegial, high energy, and persistent personality, with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • A strong network of contacts, especially across technology platform, media, financial services, and/or consumer contexts
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with people and teams in all contexts
  • Highly ambitious, self-motivated and goal-oriented; comfortable driving projects independently and navigating ambiguity
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-change environments
  • A passion for leading teams and mentoring top talent
