About the job
Blue Bottle is writing a new chapter to the story and traditions of coffee and hospitality. Our Recruiter ensures our Cafes have the amazing team members needed to play their part. This role will partner with our teams to attract and hire talent to build their careers at one of the most exciting and fastest-growing coffee and consumer companies in the world.
You will
- Actively recruit against hiring targets for existing and new cafes, and production facilities
- Manage the entire recruiting life-cycle by actively participating in all recruiting related activities and programs for our teams
- Own relationships with hiring managers and collaborate with them to customize and execute hiring plans; become a trusted partner.
- Meet weekly recruiting targets and partner with training teams to ensure a warm handover of all new hires
- Deep knowledge of areas of support, their needs and operational outlook
- Continuously focus on building and maintaining a brand that is capable of reaching candidates from all backgrounds.
- Deliver qualified diverse candidate pipelines for active roles, as well as actively network and establish strong relationships with external candidates and organizations
- Deploy innovative and effective tactics in candidate sourcing including community partnerships, referrals, networks, social channels, events, competitor analysis and more
- Create consistent workflow within region within a Recruiter Work Week framework
- Maintain high quality standards for our hiring based on role-specific competencies, and help us evolve our interview and assessment processes to meet them with every hire
- Source prospective candidates using proprietary database systems, job boards and community-based organizations, as well as grass roots activities.
- Collaborate with team members on a variety of cross-cutting initiatives including employee orientation/onboarding, talent planning, group interviewing programs, compliance, technology implementation, etc.

- An effective time manager, with the ability to set your own daily, weekly, monthly targets based upon multiple cafe staffing needs
- Comfortable with ambiguity, rapidly changing environments, and building from scratch
- Creative, scrappy, and resourceful with an infectious enthusiasm and 'can do' attitude
- A brand-builder who shapes and communicates powerfully effective recruiting messages
- Analytical and metric-oriented, always seeking internal and external data to validate our approach
- Willing to travel up to 35% of the time to markets within the US
You have
- 3+ years of experience driving recruiting efforts in high volume, high hiring bar environments in retail
- A proven track record for successfully identifying and hiring exceptional candidates
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with bias to action and attention to detail
- Experience in competency-based, behavioral interviewing techniques
- Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to facilitate and conduct group interviews
- Knowledge of Lever ATS a plus
- Last but not least, a deep love for great coffee, food, and exceptional guest experiences
