REPORTS TO: General Manager

TYPE: Full Time

SUPERVISORY ROLE: Yes

LOCATION: Underdogs Tres, 1224 9th Ave,

HOURS PER WEEK: 40+

TOTAL COMPENSATION: SALARY+BONUS

Underdogs Tres is seeking qualified Managers to help our team grow. We are a sports themed restaurant that produces delicious and unique Mexican food concepts.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The ideal candidate will be excited by the opportunity to train and work with a diverse team, apply creativity while quickly obtaining a variety of experience. We are currently in search of a friendly, knowledgeable, excellence-oriented Manager with a passion for food, spirits, and people to join our team.

Under the guidance of the General Manager, the Manager takes ownership of day-to-day operations of Underdogs Tres. The Manager ensures the location operates safely, efficiently and to high standards, ensuring a great experience both for customers and employees. We offer an extensive training program, a team-oriented environment and future opportunities for growth within.

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Enforce company policies consistent with the Underdogs Tres brand

Manage FOH staff - provide support and opportunity for continuous, constructive feedback, and education; hire, train, coach, and take corrective action as needed

Execute training programs and initiatives to foster team-building, recognition, and professionalism amongst employees

Maintain inventory of FOH product - beer, liquor, supplies, merchandise, etc.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food/product safety, and brand alignment

Protect guest and employee well-being through effective safety and risk management

Administer employee onboarding, cash handling, payroll reporting, and scheduling

Guide employees and engage with customers throughout service

Maintain positive, mutually beneficial relationships with neighbors, vendors, and industry personnel

Resolve employee and customer problems and respond in a timely manner to all escalated customer service issues

Communicate effectively with colleagues in other Underdogs Tres departments, ie. BOH

Meet regularly with General Manager & management team

Ensure strong communication flow between Underdogs Tres management and staff

SECONDARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in executing occasional offsite events, ie. caterings

Assist in the management of other retail locations as needed

Cover employee shifts in case of emergency staffing needs

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Must be vaccinated against COVID-19

High school diploma

Experience as a Lead or Manager in a bar or restaurant with a focus on customer service and thoughtfully prepared food and drink

Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application

Food Manager and ABC Leads certification

Excellent written and verbal communication skills ?

Must be highly organized, with ability to independently manage a calendar

Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Apps, specifically Sheets, Excel, Word, and Docs

Ability to learn new software

Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to Underdogs Tres mission, values and company goals

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION PREFERRED:

Bachelor's Degree

1-3 years experience as an Manager of high-volume bar or restaurant with a focus on customer service and thoughtfully prepared food and drink

Experience working for a growing bar, restaurant or restaurant group

Strong understanding of tequila, craft beer and Mexican style food

Maintaining food safety and kitchen organization

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Ability to sit and work with hands and arms for at least eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week

Physical ability to stand up to 8 hours a day, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, and walk

Hand and finger dexterity for grabbing, lifting, etc.

Ability to move at least 150 lbs., and lift at least 50 lbs.

Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills in English

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

40+ Hours

Must have a flexible schedule, with ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holiday
