Security Guard Salary: $18.00- $25.00/hour

Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to specifically serve as a security guard.

Responsibilities

Patrols the outside building and surrounds facility grounds to prevent theft or damage to property, equipment, tools, supplies, and other real or personal property. Checks alarms, locks, fences, other barriers. Monitors the identification of individuals and ensure they have proper credentials to enter controlled areas. Issues verbal warnings or violations, rules and regulations. Protect property and lives by patrolling the area and documenting suspicious encounters using the guard touring applications; monitors entrance of property through surveillance; guard against theft and maintain security; respond to alarms and calls of distress; investigate thefts and file police reports as required; call for aid if necessary; use radio equipment, guard touring applications, pagers, and cell phones to stat in contact with security personnel; report rule infractions and violations; prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas; inspect and adjust security systems, equipment and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering; regulate and monitor building systems; conduct vehicle, bike, walk and scooter patrol, to include investigation on criminal activity on the property; inspect windows and doors to ensure locks are in place and properly working; carry department issue equipment (utility belt, body armor, flashlight, taser, pepper spray, baton, and body camera); must be Narcan Trained and carry Narcan on duty; must be able to operate a scooter and patrol vehicle (CA Driver's License).

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: BSIS Guard and Baton Card; California Drivers License; One-year Security Guard Experience

Desired Requirements: PC 832; Taser and Pepper Spray Certification; Military or Law Enforcement Experience;
Applicant(s) possessing own equipment will be given priority consideration
