Senior Consultant - Capital Markets, Infosys Consulting

Functional Scope: Data Analytics

Infosys Consulting, the management and technology consulting unit of Infosys Ltd, is seeking motivated Consultants for Capital Markets business/technology transformation engagements.

The candidate should have at least 7 years overall experience in the Financial Services industry and 4 years hands-on data analysis and visualization using Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx or a similar tool.

An ideal candidate will have management consulting experience with an industry leader, proven track record of data analysis working with data warehouses and data lakes, strong communication skills, STEM or economics education, familiarity with Agile.

About the Role

As a Senior Consultant, you will work on strategic programs dealing with complex, industry-specific requirements, while further deepening knowledge in your respective area of specialization. You will independently deliver high quality solutions and actively build key client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to engagements as a senior data analyst or a similar role at Financial Services firms as part of complex change and transformation initiatives impacting Investment Banks, Asset/Wealth Managers, and Broker/Dealers.
• Perform data transformations for data warehouses and data lakes.
• Leverage Tableau, Alteryx, or similar tools for data discovery, mining, correlations. Develop visualization artefacts such as graphs, dashboards, workflows based on client requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across various client areas and Infosys on technology transformation programs and initiatives, frequently cross time-zones and geographies.
• Develop market relevant points of view to generate and sustain presence in the marketplace.
• Support business development activities ranging from leading or contributing to proposals and developing propositions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent. STEM, economics, or business administration degree is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 7 years in financial services technology transformation capacity. Highly desirable: 3 or more years of management consulting experience at an accredited firm in Capital Markets.
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience in one or more data analytics tools: Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx. Intermediate-to-advanced level of data visualization using at least one of these tools and development skills to format the data.
• Ability to facilitate discussions, analyze and de-construct problems, develop structured solutions and categorize challenges in the project environment
• Working expertise with SQL to extract and transform data from data warehouse and data lakes.
• High proficiency with data discovery, data mining, creating correlations, and visualization results
• Highly motivated with strong analytical acumen and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or equivalent advanced degree
• 5+ years of experience working in Data Analytics domain
• Experience working with one or more Industry recognized 3rd party Trading Platforms.
• Working knowledge of data management standards in the financial services industry
• Experience working in organizations that follow Agile methodologies
• Experience working in Capital Markets firms: Investment Banks, Asset/Wealth management, Broker/Dealer or with a vendor who provides products or services for Capital Markets firms
