Job Description
Responsibilities
The Senior Financial Business Systems Analyst will support the Business Systems team and various other internal stakeholders by ensuring smooth operations of daily system processes as well as designing, developing, and maintaining process improvement and automation initiatives, with a focus on the company's ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations) and surrounding ecosystem of integrated software vendor (ISV) applications. Works closely with management, business owners and technical teams to design, build, implement and maintain solutions based on business requirements and management prioritization. This role is a crucial link between system end users and software, as well as the technical development teams that support it. In order to maximize these objectives, the role requires strong understanding of systems and a partnership with departments such as Accounting & Finance, Procurement, Development, Construction, Technology Services, and other parts of the business to ensure optimal deployment, operations and adoption of critical systems solutions.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage daily configuration needs across all major modules within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365). Excellent ability to troubleshoot issues and maintain smooth daily operations of the system for a large and global cross-functional set of end users.
- Primary responsibility for the company's integrated banking / cash management system applications utilizing SK Global's Treasury Automation Suite (TAS). Work closely with end user stakeholders to ensure effective daily operations including optimization of both inbound/outbound bank files and maintenance of business rules to drive maximum automation of transactions and accounting.
- Involvement in supporting additional ISV solutions in the areas of AP, Master data management and Inventory management as well as standard non-integrated modules.
- Partner with stakeholders and work closely with internal and external project development teams on system developments and improvement opportunities, ensuring successful delivery of customizations and new functionality requests, as prioritized and directed by management.
- Manage system enhancements and bug fixes through the change control process by attaining signoffs for functional unit testing, user acceptance testing, business owner approval and IT approval. Closely follow all internal control procedures referencing the company's documented process narratives.
- Maintain system integrity by completing thorough regression testing/documentation related to periodic D365 and ISV upgrades as required. Research and share new features that may be of interest to the user communities, generating excitement and ensuring product buy-in.
Experience/Qualifications/Education Required
Educational And Work Experience
- BS degree in related field required.
- Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in ERP Finance applications; experience with Microsoft D365 is preferred.
- Expertise in configuring and customizing D365 ISV and standard modules such as Cash & bank management, Accounts payable, Accounts receivable, General ledger, Inventory management, Procurement and sourcing, Fixed assets, etc.
- Ability to work closely with ISV vendors on bug fixes, customizations and to manage and implement upgrades.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and deliver on specific directives.
- Multi-cultural and multi-regional experience is highly preferred.
- Renewable energy industry experience is desirable.
- Ability to frame and communicate data-driven results and recommendations; a data-driven leader.
- Strong creativity and ability to frame and communicate highly detailed information to external and internal clients.
- Experience with SK Global ISV products is desired.
- Ability to understand payment processes in different file formats (example: BAI2, MT940) is desirable.
- Ability to drive resolution of complex issues with a wide variety of stakeholders, including the most senior members of the company.
- Capacity to collaborate across business units, departments, and skill sets; providing both thought leadership and execution of others' ideas.
- Demonstrated skill to drive completion of high-quality, on-time projects across multiple stakeholders, functions, and lines of business.
- Strong ability to communicate results to clients, leadership teams, and colleagues throughout the organization.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and recommend solutions to enhance organizational efficiency.
