We are currently hiring for the following position:

Inventory Assistant

As an inventory assistant, you will be responsible for keeping inventory operations smooth and efficient at our commissary kitchen. You will report to the Inventory Manager, but will also be working closely with the kitchen manager and food truck staff.

Responsibilities:

Inventory Management

Load trucks before service

Accurately receive product physically into the commissary and digitally

Store and organize on-hand product and materials

Maintain accurate inventory by performing inventory cycle counts and following FIFO procedures

Help manage product availability and submit purchase orders to vendors.

Assist in inventory control including accurate recording of losses, truck transfers, and daily and weekly inventory.

Maintain communication with kitchen lead about commissary production schedule.

Ensure storage areas are neat, well organized, and sanitary

Follow established storage and labeling procedures.

Uphold company's sanitation standards and health department requirements for food storage and handling.

Work to find creative solutions to reduce waste and keep inventory organized

Be flexible to changing working environment as staff absences and production needs force changes in daily routine.

Warehouse Work

Spending extended periods of time in cold or frozen storage zones

Maintaining quality of service by following operational and safety standards

Our ideal candidate has:

High School diploma or equivalent

1 or more years of warehousing experience

Experience working in a team environment

Outstanding communication skills

Time management skills; proven experience meeting deadlines

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Familiarity with basic computer skills; ability to learn and use new software

Requirements:

General

You'll use a smartphone and a computer for part of your job. You should be familiar with navigating your way through different computer apps and programs.

You should be well versed in units of measure and the use of digital scales and thermometers.

Physical

You will need to be able to lift heavy boxes and physically move around the commissary with ease.

Available hours (35-40 hours per week):

Sunday-Thursday 5am-1:30pm

Pay: $20 per hour
