Our client, a SaaS platform company in the San Francisco Bay Area, is looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join their team. The company has raised a total of $160M after their latest round of funding from top investors. They have a strong culture focused on learning, teamwork, and ownership. This role will report directly into their CFO and can be completely remote.

Responsibilities

  • Establish the FP&A practice at the company
  • Own the historical and forward-looking financial model, including 3 statement rolling forecasts and multiple scenarios for financial planning.
  • Lead annual budget strategic and financial planning processes
  • Develop and deliver metrics, analysis, and recommendations to support strategic decisions
  • Analyze sales and marketing efforts and results to identify trends, segment customers and provide insight to Go-To-Market teams
  • Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, marketing and sales to understand product positioning and usage, and review pricing models and channels to reflect these dynamics
  • Be a thought leader on revenue and cost drivers; synthesize data to help drive strategy and financial decisions
  • Use and contribute to the company's analytics database to inform actionable insights and trends from data sourced from Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Cloud Platform, Zendesk and Jira
  • Support corporate development initiatives as they arise (e.g. fundraising, M&A)
  • Partner with Recruiting to keep hiring and headcount aligned with Budget
  • Ad-hoc project work to support executive team
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, MBA a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, and/or in FP&A at a high-growth startup; Operating experience is required
  • Strong business acumen and advanced analytical/modeling skills with the ability to interpret and analyze data
  • Ability to understand the long-term impact of near-term decisions in order to make recommendations to leadership
  • Track record of success working cross-functionally, identifying and resolving issues independently, and generating results
  • Understanding of SaaS business models and how to grow and scale SaaS businesses
  • Understanding of US GAAP principles and financial statements
  • Demonstrated self-starter with ability to work with limited direction while maintaining accuracy and delivering against deadlines
  • Highly motivated, positive and entrepreneurial with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
