About the Role
We are looking for a strategic and eager Total Rewards & Compensation Manager to join our Team! In this role you will support our global compensation efforts. This role is a unique opportunity where you will be able to dig into our systems but also be people facing and make an impact on people's lives. It is an opportunity to bring your expertise to the table all while growing and learning with our team. This role will directly report to our Sr. Director of People Operations and will also partner directly with our Sr. Director of Talent and our SVP of People and Culture . This position is full-time and can be remote based.
For Colorado based roles: In accordance with applicable law, this role has an annual starting salary of $142,500 plus bonus, a competitive equity package, and benefits (see below). The actual pay may be higher depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Lead the enhancement, implementation, and execution of innovative and scalable compensation plans that are aligned with Chime's business objectives and talent strategy
- Own Chime's relationship with Syndio, our fair pay partner to ensure all of our compensation programs are equitable
- Create an impactful Rewards communication strategy
- Manage external benchmarking and assessment activities to ensure Chime's reward practices are competitive against the market
- Own the compensation function by maintaining our job architecture framework, job levels, and comp grades consistent with market practices
- Enhance, maintain, and administer our company wide bonus program
- Own the execution of our bi-annual compensation cycle linked to our performance management process, act as partner to help guide decisions on changes to base, bonus, and equity
- Develop compensation reports and tools to inform compensation program decisions
- Assist with auditing compensation information in Workday
- Provide subject-matter expertise on topics related to compensation
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support total rewards projects
- Ensure all salary ranges are reviewed and refreshed as necessary. New roles are market priced to slot into appropriate ranges; apply geographic differentials
- Continuously evaluate the efficiency of our rewards programs to verify they are aligned with our business and talent strategies and assess market trends to make recommendations for changes, as appropriate
- Manage and enforce compliance requirements for multiple locations across multiple countries.
- A strategic desire to build more equitable, inclusive and diverse compensation programs to advance our workplace
- 7+ years of compensation experience, preferably with some time spent in a fast paced high growth start-up or tech based organization
- Knowledge of legal and compliance requirements impacting compensation administration
- Technical knowledge of compensation design and track record of providing creative and scalable designs and programs responsive to the company's evolving strategies
- Experience developing a long-term platform for rewards administration in a high-growth company
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, leadership, and project management skills
- Strong understanding of general business operations and processes that enables you to interact with internal and external customers, including all levels of management
- A passion for data analytics
- High level of professional credibility and integrity
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, or business discipline preferred
