Job description

Our client, the Bay Area's best-known search engine giant, is seeking a UX Researcher with mobile application research experience to assist their team.


Position: UX Researcher / Mobile

Location: Mt. View via Company Shuttle (Hybrid as of 2022)

Status: Freelance (40 hours a week)

Estimated Duration: 12+ Months

Starts: Ready to hire

Rate: Up to $55/hr. depending on experience


Top Responsibilities:

-Conduct qualitative research in the lab and remotely that primarily utilizes usability methodology in an iterative research and design setting .

-Produce findings and recommendation reports from research for product teams.

-Work with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and other UX researchers to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

-Proactively communicate and collaborate with other team members.

-Work independently with support from more senior research team members.

-Be diligent, detail-oriented and have the ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.

-Conduct usability research studies on the company's app with the product team and other user experience researchers.


Ideal Qualifications:

-M.A./M.S./PhD. (completed) in Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, HCI/Computer Science, Sociology, or other fields emphasizing human behavior.

-At least one year of experience conducting usability research in a technology environment on mobile app software.
