Job Description Summary:
ADI's legal team is growing! ADI is seeking a talented employment attorney to advise the Company on a wide range of global employment law issues. The Corporate Counsel, Employment role will identify legal issues; formulate practical solutions; and drive projects to closure for the business.
We are looking for someone with sharp communication and analytical skills, who is proactive, collaborative, a practical problem solver, and has demonstrated excellent judgment and strategic thinking. A successful candidate will be able to work well cross-functionally and across geographies, is passionate about employment law, and is a true team player and business partner. The position will join a dynamite team of three employment counsel and will report to the APAC/EU Lead Employment Corporate Counsel. This position will be based in either California or Massachusetts.

- Provide practical legal advice on a full range of employment law issues both domestically and globally relating to the entire employee lifecycle, including but not limited to: recruiting, hiring, training, performance management, compensation, leaves of absence, return to work and accommodation issues, benefits, terminations, and other employment related topics
- Assist with worldwide labor and employment law compliance, including but not limited to wage and hour laws, discrimination, harassment, leave and disability accommodation laws, and other employment related regulations
- Oversee and direct internal investigations
- Identify and analyze labor and employment legal changes and assist with implementation of compliance steps
- Develop, revise, and implement best in class employment policies, procedures, and scalable training solutions
- Drive complex employment compliance projects from initiation to closure
- Exceptional project management skills, attention to detail and a proven ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
- Drive good business results from difficult ER situations by successfully managing ER issues and pre-dispute conflicts
- Support ADI's global compensation and benefits programs
- Handle litigation or claims, if applicable
- Work collaboratively and responsively with colleagues on a broad range of legal and strategic projects, ensuring good relationships between legal, human resources, finance, stock administration, IT, operations, information technology/security teams and corporate development of the Company and its affiliates to facilitate a coordinated team approach
- Proactively identify and assist with implementation of continuous improvements in policies and processes for the employment and immigration legal team
- Other tasks as required
Job Requirements
- J.D. Degree from accredited law school and membership in at least one US state bar (California or Massachusetts preferred)
- 5+ years of relevant experience in employment law, preferably a combination of law firm and in-house practice
- Counseling experience, including risk mitigation in the entire employee lifecycle
- US multistate experience required and global experience preferred
- Self-motivated team player with the ability to drive projects, identify/ resolve legal and business issues with large degree of independence, seeking guidance when necessary
- Exceptional project management skills, attention to detail, and a proven ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
- High degree of initiative in managing multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment
- Ability to establish and develop relationships of trust and confidence; strong influencing and collaborating skills
- High performance standards, impeccable integrity, excellent judgment, well-honed analytical skills, good sense of humor, positive attitude, and flexible
- Practical, business-oriented approach
- Able to analyze complex situations and develop simple, concise, and effective legal solutions
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally, both in written and verbal format
- Demonstrates flexibility regarding assignments for self and team
- Able to travel, as needed up to 25%
- Highly proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)

- Prior experience working on global employment law issues
- Prior experience working with a technology company
- Prior experience working in a corporate legal department
- Prior experience using the Serengeti Tracker System or a comparable e-billing system
