About the role Roku's leadership in the streaming media industry means we are well-positioned to shape the future of television including TV advertising around the world. Our continued success relies on investing in the development of next generation ad products. Roku is looking for an enthusiastic and accomplished intern for Summer 2022 to lead and execute a few key projects for the endemic media team. As the PM intern in the Roku advertising products team, reporting into the director of product for audience development, you will lead the charge on key product deliverables by working closely with stakeholders from cross-functional teams engineering, UX, operations, sales, product marketing, legal - to arrive at comprehensive product requirement specs. You will lead product development and go-to-market plans for these projects and initiatives. The work we do can be challenging, but that's why we enjoy it so much. What you'll do here Understand the product and platform needs of channel partners that are looking to optimize media spend dynamically based on performance Assess product opportunities and develop business cases for new products and features Author PRDs, feature guides and release plans to enable the team to develop products on time and within budget Drive feature prioritization, process improvements, and product development with an eye on key KPIs Employ rapid prototype and other iterative methodologies to create, test and iterate product designs Proactively provide customer and business context to engineering team Build and maintain relationships with key partners in the advertising ecosystem Manage joint product development and rollout with partners Provide thought leadership and lead extended cross-functional team including engineering, analytics, sales, marketing, operations, finance and legal to deliver on product objectives Stay on top of ad tech, media, and general technology trends; translate them into POVs, share with product and business teams, devise ways to assimilate trends internally We're excited if you have Experience or exposure to product management with a focus on ad tech, media and enterprise software Knowledge of the digital advertising landscape, specifically with ad servers, DSPs, DMPs and other media buying platforms Experience working with business intelligence/data analytics tools and data dashboarding tools such as Tableau or Looker Familiarity with the IAB standards such as VAST/VMAP/VPAID and comfortable with basic scripting and query languages Experience in working with digital marketers, data scientists and media sales Data-driven and an entrepreneurial self-starter who deals well with ambiguity Strong, influential cross-functional team leader Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Minimum of a bachelor's degree (preferably in engineering); MBA preferred Based in San Jose with the ability and willingness to travel The Roku culture Roku is a great place for people who want to work in a fast-paced environment where everyone is focused on the company's success rather than their own.
