Job description

Ultimate Staffing is currently seeking an HR Coordinator to join our client in the electronics manufacturing industry. This position is on-site with flexible locations in the East Bay for their San Leandro, Oakland or Newark locations. This role will start as a contract, but can potentially turn into a full-time role for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
● Support Hiring Activities: Support Talent Acquisition and Hiring Managers in all aspects of hiring process, including interview scheduling, candidate travel, posting jobs in the company ATS, answering questions for candidates and hiring managers.

● Support New Hire Onboarding, including new hire paperwork, I-9 administration, reference checks, background checks, first day logistics, sending manager reminders, etc.

● HR Records retention compliance. Oversee records management for personnel files, employment contracts, etc. Monitor best practices and laws related to document management and ensure the company is in compliance.

● HR Administration: Support HR database activities, benefits administration, etc. Keep track of department spending.

● General administrative support to HR team and interface with employees, managers and candidates.

● Run routine and ad hoc reports out of HRIS and other systems.

● Ensure the workplace posters (safety, HR, etc.) are in compliance and up to date.

● Use good judgement to report escalate matters as needed.

Qualifications:

● Excellent communication skills (verbal and written communications)

● Computer skills required including G-Suite (especially Google Mail and Google Calendar) and/or MS Office tools - especially MS Word, and MS Excel.

● Service orientation, social perceptiveness and ability to work with people at all management and levels.

● Moderate problem solving and using good judgement for when to escalate.

● Willingness to be available and operate independently with excellent time management and prioritization is a must.
