AdsWizz is a SiriusXM company, and a leading global digital audio advertising solution provider, headquartered in Silicon Valley, with a presence in 39 countries.
In June 2020, SiriusXM acquired Simplecast, a leading podcast hosting, distribution, and analytics platform. Since this acquisition, AdsWizz has worked closely with Simplecast to provide a truly end-to-end podcast solution, powering the industry's most electric podcast publishers, including NPR, The New York Times, Univision, NBC, Politico, Maximum Fun to name a few.
We are hiring a Director of Business Development to join our Podcast Sales Team. In this role, you will generate net new business by driving adoption of the Simplecast platform with podcast publishers. You will be focused primarily on top tier mid-size publishers, celebrity podcasters and corporate accounts.
This role requires a broad knowledge of the podcast industry, an understanding of the technical components of digital media distribution and monetization technologies. Your ability to become a trusted partner on industry best practices - while demonstrating a deep understanding of how to leverage our solutions to maximize value gain - will be critical to your success.
This position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York, or Los Angeles. It can also be remote. It will involve occasional domestic and international travel (when safe to do so). The role reports to the Senior Director, Business Development, Podcasts.
You will...
- Build a pipeline of net new business with primary focus on top podcast content creators, talent agencies and corporate customers.
- Lead all aspects of the deal lifecycle from lead generation to contract execution.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers and senior/executive leadership at target companies.
- Maintain, and exceed platform revenue vs budget.
- Work closely with cross functional teams including product, account management, legal, marketing and finance.
- Align with our Business Development Team to target companies within specific industries.
- Support the RFI/RFP process on select target accounts by providing responses to business requirements.

Your Qualifications...
- 8+ years of professional experience
- 5+ years of enterprise sales or business development experience, preferably selling a SaaS solution; content management tool.advertising technologies highly desirable
- Proven track record of building deal pipeline and meeting or exceeding deal quota - named accounts and revenue
- Experience working with or qualifying enterprise clients
- Knowledge of on-demand audio distribution in general, and podcast publishing in particular
- Bonus points if you have knowledge of digital ad tech and podcast monetization
