Job description
Sr. Project Engineer
This position provides high quality engineering services to support the short and long
term needs of the company. Using project management tools and techniques, manages projects of medium to large scope ensuring that project goals, including budget, schedule, scope, quality, and risk, are met. Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions. Leads multiple highly-complex projects of diverse scope where analysis requires an understanding of current business trends. Fosters a productive team environment while driving projects to successful completion
Responsibilities
•Performs project management for construction, renovation and facilities-related projects using mastery of domain knowledge and extensive business experience; Leads the cross¬ functional projects and initiatives with the highest resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity
•Monitors design and construction activities to ensure that all phases of work are done in accordance with corporate standards and contractual agreements.
•Establishes and maintains highly complex project budgets, cash flow analyses, and cost estimates, as well as reviews purchase orders, change orders, and invoices with significant impact on the success of company operations
•Identifies and addresses areas of concern regarding potential liabilities and risks.
•Develops, monitors, and maintains project schedules; ensures that project objectives with regard to time are met. Maintains client, consultant, contractor, and vendor relationships; manages conflict resolution.
•Communicates highly-complex ideas, anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at executive leadership levels, to adopt a different point of view
•Evaluates, develops and selects standards, tools, and knowledge requirements for Facilities Project Management skills and career development. Provides guidance, direction, and instruction in Facilities Project Management to less-experienced team members and colleagues
•Manage the company in all aspects of multiple complex engineering projects/assignments, including coordinating with Architectural and Engineering firms in developing design criteria, preparing design documents, preparing bid documents and contracts for construction, reviewing bid proposals and selecting contractors.
•Manage all aspects of project commissioning activities. Duties include managing customer, projects, validation projects, safety inspection and verification, determining operating requirements and writing procedures, equipment Installation and Qualification, Process Qualification planning for and participation in regulatory inspections, selection and supervision of technical, professional or operative staff, etc.
•Develop and Review RFP's for technical feasibility and provide high level capital cost estimates for project bid proposals in a timely manner.
•Provide technical support to Production on process improvement, deviations and audits items.
•Application of all local and international engineering standards and principles for compliance.
•Analyze project requirements and develop a scope of work based upon broad engineering principles and established methods in the industry, which is consistent with current international and internal standards and specifications.
•Fulfill approved equipment requirements, selection, and modifications to allow for new and improved processes and to meet processing and technology changes.
•Ensure all cGMPs, safety practices, applicable codes, engineering standards, laws and insurance requirements are met in the design, construction, start-up and qualification of assigned projects.
•Comply with all job-related safety and other training requirements.

•Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture required, MS preferred
•Project Management Certification and/or PE license preferred
•6-8 years experience in project management/construction management, preferably in a GMP environment. Experience, knowledge, and a track record in project management techniques, concepts, principles, and standards. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with all levels both within and outside the company in order to establish credibility with professionals on the project teams.
•Proficient in advanced techniques with relevant software. Knowledge and ability to creatively resolve issues as they arise.
•Knowledge and ability to supervise people, including recruitment, training, performance management, and people development.
•High proficiency with general Microsoft applications, including MS Project and Share Point. Experience with project management applications.
•Anticipates business and industry issues; recommends product, process or service improvements
•Technical: Identifies and resolves unique situations of substantial significance, requiring conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions to complex problems with broad impact on the business; proficient in advanced techniques with relevant software; experience, knowledge, and a track record in project management techniques, concepts, principles, and standards.
•Soft: Communicates complex ideas, anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels, to adopt a different point of view; requires superior written and verbal communications skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with all levels both within and outside the company in order to establish credibility with professionals on the project teams; knowledge and ability to creatively resolve issues as they arise; able to get things done through others both within and outside the company; results oriented and highly motivated.
•Knowledge in PLCs, HMI and SCADA a plus.
