Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Train SEL field technical support staff (internal and external) on R&D products and technologies.
2. Maintain an understanding of industry technology and SEL products.
3. Author service bulletins, application literature, instruction manuals, and data sheets.
4. Perform competitive analysis.
5. Develop project use cases.
6. Establish and perform validation testing.
7. Create product demonstrations.
8. Participate in the preparation of technical proposals and commercial bids.
9. Contribute to existing and new product specifications.
10. Perform special studies and tests as needed by customers.
11. Participate in SEL sales and marketing activities and industry technical meetings and conferences.
12. Understand. Create. Simplify.
13. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline, or equivalent experience
2+ years working knowledge of electric power systems, communication, and/or automation practices and philosophies
Excellent technical training, speaking, documentation, and writing skills
Willingness to travel 25%
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)
