Experians Business Information Services (BIS) Commercial Relations Agent works directly with small business owners to investigate commercial credit report disputes and provides complimentary reports when they are subjected to adverse action. The Agent works with public record sources, trade data contributors and BIS internals to ensure that a complete, objective and accurate credit report is delivered back to the business. The Agent handles inbound calls from business owners and principals, conducts all investigation work, creates a documented audit trail, and responds within 30 days. Commercial Relations Agents also support BIS resellers, sales and other internals in making corrections to the commercial database.

ROLE:

* Supports business owners and principals via the Experian Commercial Relations toll free phone line
* Provides escalated telephonic support
* Conducts investigations into business credit report disputes by confirming public record, trade data and verifying firmographic information
* Generates an audit trail document to support the investigation and final credit report presentation
* Qualify and deliver complimentary commercial credit reports to business owners and principals subjected to adverse actions
* Works with BIS resellers, Sales and other internals to investigate and correct data in the commercial database
* Provides specialized support to data suppliers and partners
* Research and amend in depth corporate file structure investigations
* Ensures investigations are completed according to service level agreements
* Performs and publish business analytics linked to investigative research requests

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Handles inbound questions via phone from business principals requesting information on the dispute process and asking for investigation status
* Reviews and analyzes inbound emails and letters from business principals, BIS internals, resellers, trade contributors, legal representatives, and other sources to ensure proper prioritization and investigation actions are implemented
* Reviews and qualifies requests for complimentary commercial credit reports, ensuring that the request is compliant with Commercial Relations policies. Responds back to the business with notification of report delivery or need for additional information
* Conducts SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data from the commercial credit database
* Generates audit trail documentation in Excel and posts updates to Experians proprietary commercial relations repository
* Produces, sends and monitors responses to written requests for verification of legal, trade and business structure to Experian internal subject matter experts and external data providers
* Generates written responses to business principals providing investigation results and finalized credit reports
* Follows Commercial Relations guidelines and procedures, maintains objectivity and upholds confidentiality restrictions at all times
* Updates credit report information using the BIS SBU data management tool and by submitting batch updates via mainframe data entry
* Verifies that the credit report accurately reflects database changes before closing the investigation
