We are hiring an HR Manager who will Manage multiple HR activities within the organization. Enhances the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. Contribute to business strategy by understanding the business and the top priorities to execute against the people strategy in line with the business goals.

Responsibilities:
* Initiating and planning employee activities to foster positive company morale and employee engagement.
* Maintaining a positive work environment through effective employee relations practices
* Proactively providing creative and engaging solutions to motivate employees at different career points (ie: early career, management, leadership)
* Managing performance appraisal process.
* Managing leaves of absence
* Managing internship program
* Supporting managers and employees in matters related to career development, staffing initiatives, employee relations, and performance management.
* Coaching managers to pro-actively manage employees (e.g., performance and attendance) and provide advice to resolve grievance and disciplinary issues
* Providing support in developing and delivering training sessions on HR related topics.
* Participating in the company newsletter.
* Maintaining job descriptions and coordinating updates until uploaded into MasterControl.
* Providing support and guidance to HR staff, Sr management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and employee relations issues arise
* Responsible for managing position approval process in JIRA
* Supervising Human Resource Staff; plan, assign and review assignments; counsel staff; evaluate job performance and approve or recommend actions.
* Managing the development and ongoing execution of the organizations Affirmation Action plan to achieve AAP goals
* Managing Workers' compensation by reporting work related injuries to the insurance carrier and working to close claims in timely manner.
* Preparing employee separation notices, related documentation, and conducting exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
* Managing temporary staffing activities including contracting with outside suppliers to provide employee services, such as temporary employees, search firms, or relocation services
* Continually strive to provide 'best practice' HR advice and support, through information sharing internally and external benchmarking
* Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
* Maintaining knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
* Performing other duties as assigned.
Experience/ Education:
* Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field. PHR or SPHR certification.3 5+ years in an HR related capacity.
* 1-2 years of supervisory experience
* Knowledge of federal and CA labor laws.
* Broad technical knowledge of Human Resources management, wage and hour laws, benefits.
* Advanced knowledge of business administration practices.
* Experience with a payroll system and benefits administration.
* Possession of the highest level of tact and diplomacy is a necessity.
* Organization skills.
* Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
* Employee investigations regarding misconduct.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Good presentation skills.
