Our location in Santa Clara, CA currently has an opportunity for a Commercial Finance Manager within our Hematology division.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The primary objective of the Commercial Finance Manager, Hematology is financial accounting, reporting, planning and analysis activities. Responsibilities include monthly accounting and reporting, Plans, LBE's, LRP's, various analysis and special projects as well as the support of internal as well as external audit and tax reporting requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Financial planning and analysis, including development and support of Plans, LBE's and LRP's as well as consolidation activities.
- Ensures proper tracking of commitments and expenditures along with proper accounting treatment and timely capitalization of assets.
- Provides financial leadership and guidance to operations including DCF / ROI's, proper writing of RCE's and Post Completion audits as well as interpretation of the Corporate Financial Manual (CFM's) and topics as well as issues around the treatment of projects and fixed assets.
- Establishes and/or enforces internal controls safeguarding Abbott's financial interest and providing guidance and counsel to operating and financial staff.
- Manage and develops staff, including hiring, developing and training.
- Significant involvement in strategic and cross-divisional projects and teams.
- Planning and analysis of Balance Sheet and Capital
- Work with other finance team member to consolidate Santa Clara P&L, BS, Capital and HC for rLBEs and Plan submissions
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Required:
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance and/or other relevant experience; MBA or other advanced degrees preferred.
- Minimum 7 years experience accounting, finance and/or other relevant experience.
- Strong verbal/communication skills along with the ability to collaborate, negotiate and build concensus.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment while handling multiple priorities.
Preferred:
- CPA or other certifications preferred.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience with financial management and accounting systems: Hyperion, SAP, TM1
- Understanding of accounting principles, practices, and standards
- Experience in working with international organizations
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to communicate complex topics to a broad financial and non-financial audience
- Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate interactions with domestic and international organizations
