The Silicon Photonics Product Division (SPPD) is an adjacency business within NEX Connectivity Group (CG) that designs, manufactures and markets silicon photonics transceiver modules, bringing optics to Company silicon, making it the most flexible, scalable, and cost-effective optical integration technology for deployments of high-speed networking in cloud data centers at 100G and beyond. SPPD launched its first product in 2016 and has commitments to grow the business to +1B over the LRP horizon.

The SPPD Controller position is a unique role in Company Finance responsible for financial oversight and support of the SPPD business, roadmap and full PnL. A key member of the management team providing business partnership and financial advice to the GM. In this role the Controller will be a close partner to the VP General Manager in financial management of the business' revenue, cost of sales, inventory management as well as RnD investment. This will include driving all financial cycles such as Close, Plan, POR and LRP. The SPPD Controller also supports the product planning and portfolio for the roadmap, as well as various strategic initiatives.

This role will provide unique experience in financial and systems management of a hybrid manufacturing business with components manufactured internally at Fab 11x in New Mexico, externally sourced through outside foundries and externally assembled/tested at contract manufacturers located in Asia. The SPPD Controller will play a key role in driving cost optimization, rev max, investment prioritization and budget management to help the business achieve its LRP goals.

The SPPD Controller manages a core team of 4 analysts and directs a dedicated extended finance teams in SMG, Fab 11x, CPLG and the Malaysia COE. Team and people management play a critical role in the success of the SPPD Controller - setting clear vision and goals, providing analyst coaching, removing roadblocks, and supporting team development. This role is a senior member of the CG Finance team and will frequently interface with all levels of the CG finance and operations organization.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of partnership and influence at the VP/GM level, experience with successfully operating and executing within highly matrixed organizations, driving organizational accountability and continuous improvement initiatives, as well as managing conflicting priorities and leading cross functional teams. This person must be a strong leader within the team and be willing to step into a variety of ad-hoc projects and other situations to provide coaching and direction to the team.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Company immigration sponsorship.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience leading financial planning processes: Close, POR, PLAN, LRP is also required with a deep understand of P&L/Balance Sheet dynamics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Accounting experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Company Manufacturing processes a plus.
