Job description

The Finance Manager will be the key financial business partner to the General Manager of our the company Study and products. Other key partners include the Product, PMO, Content, Marketing, Engineering and Operations organizations in addition to Corporate Finance and Controllership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own business analytics and P&L modeling - from subscribers to bookings to revenue, gross profit and operating expenses
  • Effectively tailors communication to key stakeholders and leadership
  • Leverage deep understanding of business objectives, issues and root causes and provides insightful, fact-based data analysis to help solve complex problems
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to aid decision making and explain results
  • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly variance analysis, forecast and budget processes
  • Provide regular financial and operational reports and communicate key drivers and variances to senior management
  • Partner with functional managers to identify and evaluate dependencies (product, engineering, marketing, etc.) and financial opportunities to drive growth and margin improvements
  • Help drive optimal decision making through financial, quantitative and strategic analysis
  • Provide financial and strategic decision support to senior management to ensure achievement of current and long term corporate financial goals
  • Enhance analytical support to build reliable metrics, business cases and financial models
  • Financial modeling/due diligence support for new product launches/initiatives and M&A opportunities

Desired Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent
  • 5+ years of financial analysis experience in a high-tech, high growth environment with demonstrated career advancement or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years Management experience
  • Superb attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Superior critical thinking and intellectual and quantitative analysis capabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial reporting/planning systems
  • Demonstrated high energy/creativity, a relentless customer-focus, and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Experience with a subscription business model preferred
