We are seeking a Lab Technician for a very important client.

LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY

TWO POSITIONS OPEN-

Shift A: 8am - 5pm

Shift B: 4pm - 1am

The Microarray Research Services Laboratories (MRSL) in Santa Clara is looking for a highly motivated, creative problem solver who can be part of a team performing high throughput genotyping, DNA copy number, and DNA extraction.

This job requires a dedicated individual, who is a quick learner and enjoys challenges. We provide customers with service offerings for microarray genotyping, gene expression and Next Gen Genotyping platforms using sequencing technologies.

• provide customers with an opportunity to test our platforms and prove their efficacy.
• both internal and external customers from both industry and academia worldwide studying a large variety of subjects and organisms.
• multiple lab environments in our organization and you might work in any of four environments.

Do genotyping assays such requiring use of multi-channel pipettes, reagent preparation and sample tracking.

Perform high throughput genotyping using automated liquid handlers and timed schedules.

Provide assistance in the pre-PCR lab environment performing quantitation and normalization of nucleic acids utilizing automation.

Work in a BSL2 space for nucleic acid extractions

Other general laboratory duties include

Enter data into LIMS.

Report any out-of-calibration or broken equipment.

Fill out inventory sheets for material consumed

Assist team in stocking/restocking materials and shipping/receiving customer samples.
