Product Management at eHealth

We are looking for a product leader who is technically proficient and business-minded, tactical and strategic. We work with engineers, analysts, project managers, marketing, sales, finance and business development teams. You will also be involved in the wider business and be looking to find points of integration with our Partners, Carrier Relations, Marketing, Data Science & Engineering, Sales Application and eCommerce teams.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Can own the Identity Services roadmap
  • Can craft user stories that refine that roadmap to specific product requirements
  • Has a background in working in Identity platforms, scalable products, customer, loyalty and membership growth as well as retainment.
  • Has experience working with accounting and financial teams

What You Will Do:
  • Lead the product initiatives for eHealth's Identity and membership platforms supporting an evolving business strategy for customers growth, retention and acquisition.
  • Define and drive the product roadmap, collaborating with business stakeholders to support existing and target partners, refining incentive programs to support scale, and tracking success metrics.
  • Develop identity, membership and data validation services to scale with existing business applications.
  • Work with Business Stakeholders, Security and Engineering Teams to convert the roadmap into specific product requirements and write detailed user stories, handling the product backlog and prioritization.
  • Support other products associated with the financial, revenue systems and the overall revenue recognition strategy, including work with existing platforms and new solutions, homegrown and developed with 3rd party vendors.
  • Ensure success of the team's scrum process as product owner, owning the product backlog, grooming, prioritization, taking part in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, demos, retrospectives and other ceremonies.
  • Communicate product status, metrics, goals and performance clearly to internal stakeholders throughout the organization, including impacted teams (internal and external) across geographic locations.
  • Take responsibility for other professional duties as required.


Basic Qualifications:
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science/Engineering, related fields, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant product management and leadership experience.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with portfolio planning, Scrum and Kanban
  • Experience working with third party vendors
  • Experience with identity, authentication and authorization systems
  • Working knowledge of cloud-based technology
  • Strong sense of ownership and a history of effective collaboration in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work proactively, leading teams by influence to execute on deadline in an ambiguous environment, and pitch in on whatever needs doing to get the job done.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written, and the ability to communicate the product vision, roadmap, backlog priorities and trade-offs, adapting messages for the audience, technical and non-technical.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence, MS Office, gSuite, Target Process, etc.
  • Experience in healthcare or insurance is plus
