5G Telco Edge Business Development Manager
The Role
As a 5G & Telco Edge Business Development Manager in the Embedded Business Unit, you will connect with Telco customers, and 5G RAN and Telco Edge solutions eco-system partners to develop complete joint partner solutions which are based on AMD processors to address 5G RAN and Telco Edge opportunities requirements and to engage with Telco customers and partners on PoCs through field trials and actual deployment. You will engage with various eco-system partners to win their support, and to develop complete end-to-end solutions for 5G RAN and Telco Edge segments. You will engage with Telco customers technology teams to drive PoCs using AMD based joint partner solutions, and Telco customers operations teams to qualify the solutions towards testing, field trials and deployment aligning with their purchasing cycle. You will participate in relevant standards bodies, consortiums and communities to connect with customers and partners, as well as to stay on top of market trends, requirements and competitive landscape.
The ability to work effectively with customers and partners especially in 5G and Telco markets, to develop detailed understanding of requirements and details of effective and complete solutions will be critical to success. Program management skills and ability to establish and drive to goals including plan of record, timelines, budget, scope, performance and quality are important.
The applicant must be a team player who makes and meets commitments, and demonstrates an aptitude to thrive in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
Qualifications
Your Experience and Expertise:
- 8+ years of experience, with a BS or MS degree, in business development, strategic alliance and solutions marketing roles focusing on Telco and wireless infrastructure market segments.
- Strong understanding of 5G infrastructure and Edge computing market trends, requirements, technologies, reference implementations, eco-systems and competitive landscape from the processor vendor perspective.
- Experience managing eco-system partner relationships is important.
- Experience developing statement-of-work and managing programs and deliverables with partners and vendors is important.
- Good understanding of 5G/LTE protocol, networking protocols and standards is desired.
- Traveling is required for engaging with customers, partners and attending conferences.
