Location: Virtual

University Recruiting is responsible for developing, refining, and executing early in career recruiting strategies to attract, promote and retain highly qualified diverse intern and recent graduate talent to Applied Materials. We are actively seeking a dynamic University Recruiter to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Build awareness internally on the advantages of hiring early in career talent and educate management on the university recruiting process
  • Counsel hiring teams to determine the most relevant campus recruiting plan to fill intern and recent graduate openings
  • Full-cycle recruiting including screening, presenting diverse candidate pools to hiring managers, understanding student motivators, facilitate selection discussions, extend offers and close on hires
  • Manage the candidate experience including virtual and on-site recruiting events and onboarding initiatives
  • Regularly report progress on hiring goals and recruiting trends to the business and greater talent team
  • Partner with Campus Relations Managers on executing campus recruiting strategies to ensure all recent graduate, coop, and intern hiring targets are achieved while building brand awareness for future hires
  • Be a representative at target universities by participating in fairs, networking sessions, and diversity events to build awareness and influence talent to start their career at Applied Materials
  • Partner with team to plan and execute a best in class intern program which fosters development, networking, exposure to leadership, and promotes Applied as a premier employer for talent
  • Conduct Internship conclusion interviews with managers and participants with a focus on conversions

Qualifications
  • BA/BS Degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Two years experience supporting campus recruiting, preferably in tech
  • One year full-cycle recruiting, preferably intern and new grad talent in a high-volume environment
  • Competent with applicant tracking systems (ATS), Workday Recruiting a plus
  • Experience with web-based sourcing systems such as Handshake and LinkedIn
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Teams a plus
  • Ability to analyze data and to make decisions based on multiple data sets
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a wide variety of people
  • Passionate diversity champion with the ability to influence the business to think differently
  • Robust time management and prioritization skills with the ability to self-manage
  • Ability to travel within the US 20%
